-- Sevin Rosen & Pilot House Increase Investment in Real-time Event Data Management Company --
Boston, MA [January 30th, 2006] - nTAG Interactive, the premier provider of real-time Event Data Management (EDM) solutions, today announced that its two leading investors, Sevin Rosen Funds and Pilot House Ventures, have increased their investment. Rick Burnes, an angel investor in previous rounds, and the company’s founders also participated.
nTAG measures, automates and improves all aspects of meetings and events, on-site and in real time. With nTAG, event attendees effectively connect with relevant contacts during networking activities. Sessions are more engaging and memorable with nTAG's real-time audience response capabilities. Automated lead capture provides better lead qualification. nTAG’s event organizer dashboard monitors key event activities and allows the organizer to quickly and automatically communicate with all participants. Unprecedented levels of information provide a comprehensive view into the entire event - networking activity, session attendance and satisfaction, and exhibition area activity – to measure event objectives and ROI in real-time.
“nTAG has the technology and the management experience to define the Event Data Management space,” said Stephen Van Beaver, member of the Board of Directors and General Partner for Pilot House Ventures Group. “Their sound strategy coupled with the market need for event measurement and management solutions and the traction they’ve already generated makes nTAG’s prospect for success outstanding. Their innovation and talented management team will propel them to continued strong growth in 2006.”
“nTAG is pleased to have Pilot House and Sevin Rosen as strategic investors,” said David Goretski, CEO, nTAG. “Both of these firms are innovators and experienced in developing emerging companies. This matches perfectly with our desire to partner with investors who understand our market and our company’s potential.”
“Our investment in nTAG underscores our confidence in nTAG’s solution and the company’s approach to solving one of the most pressing problems enterprises face today – understanding the return on marketing investment,” said Dave McLean, Board member and General Partner for Sevin Rosen Funds. “In addition, nTAG’s team has demonstrated early and exceptional success in delivering innovative products and services to the market while establishing traction in this $120 billion market.”
The new funding will enable nTAG to expand its sales and marketing efforts, grow its distribution, continue to innovate through product development, and support its customers with a world-class organization. With this additional venture financing, nTAG has raised more than $12 million since its founding in 2002.

Sevin Rosen was founded in 1981 by L.J. Sevin and Ben Rosen, who quickly established a reputation for success. In the past two decades, the firm has assembled a team with deep operating, technology, and venture capital experience. SRF’s impressive track record is, in large measure, based upon its team approach and that team’s extensive experience working together. Since the beginning, SRF’s emphasis on very early stage investments, particularly incubations and seed financings, has demanded that our partners work closely with entrepreneurs in what we know is the real long term team sport: building companies.
